Blue Bay Diner never disappoints. Even during this pandemic, their quality remains top notch and the portions are still huge! I can't believe that for 10 years I drove past Blue Bay Diner and kept saying I'm going to stop there one day. Once I did stop a couple of years ago I've become a regular diner at this establishment. The food is delicious well prepared beautifully presented. The wait staff is so friendly they make you feel like family. I highly recommend it.

Perfect diner spot for a classic or not so classic diner burger. Their wait staff is super nice and the diner itself is really clean and pleasant. You can come here at any time and order and the food experience is the same food quality. Onion rings here also fantastic!

The omelets were bigger than 3 eggs. I had egg whites while Babe had a regular omelet. It would be good for breakfast. Tasty though will need to pay another visit to actually determine my full Blue Bay Diner experience.

Large and tasty portions,, fresh orange juice and fruit is a big plus. Staff was friendly and attentive. Be sure to get here early as it gets crowded and busy later in the morning.

Went here with my fam on a Sunday got seating right away the place is nice service and food is decent I enjoyed my experience I recommend coming here.

Yes blue bay diner was very good. You get a lot of food for the money. Prices are high but worth it. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Blue bay Diner has always been a classic spot in freshmeadows! The service is always great and the food is even better. I definitely recommend this dinner to anyone that's never been and to everyone that loves diners.

Great big juicy burger, good fries and tasty dill slices - approx $20

They give you very large portions so it was on the pricey side. The desert is good and I guess you cant mess up a burger. Satisfactory.

It's hit or miss. You will either have a great meal or an okay meal. You can't go wrong with breakfast if you have grits, bacon, and eggs for breakfast. French toast maybe a little too dry, and the pancakes may be cut too thick and the middle not cook too well. Same thing with the seating; you'll have a great seat or an okay seat to sit down.You can't go wrong with a booth seat if you are willing to wait. Menu can be pricey but worth it.

Got here at the perfect time, 10 minutes later would've been waiting a while.Great food and even better service . Very popular place, deft coming back..

The environment here is elegant and calm with light music. Had a family dinner once. The staff, service, food - everything is great. The most satisfactory aspect is the more than enough portions, for decent price - a fulfilling experience. I would recommend their onion soup (that melted mozzarella on top really made my night, yum). The steak with mashed potato, salmon, beans, and hot chocolate were also delicious. Oh, they served a huge plate of penne pasta - very flavorful. A decent place for enjoying good food for good price, and spending some quality time with family.

This isn’t the local diner for me but I always came here growing up. The service is pretty great and the servers are usually friendly. I’m always happy going here. Not to mention the coffee is sooooooo good

HUGE Texas size plates. Everything is fresh and tasty.Since so many people dine here you can be sure the food is fresh and clean.

Food was ok, but extremely over priced. And prices in store do not match web site. $44 for 2 burgers and an order of chicken fingers is ridiculous.

Food was very tasty. I had the Texas burger deluxe with blue cheese. I was very impressed with the size of the burger and the taste of the food.

The service amazing. To much salad and soup and coleslaw before the meal. Not alot of variety with mixed drinks just alchohol, my pasta was a lil over cooked and the food wasn't what I thought it would be maybe I ordered the wrong thing. But either way the place was beautiful, dessert was amazing & my boyfriend enjoyed his food.

Food was very good. Service was great! We got here during a lunch rush on Sunday and they took care of 7 of us quickly. How do they prepare all that food on the menu? I recommend this popular diner.

Excellent food with generous portions, wide-ranging options and quality ingredients, not to mention the lovely staff and warm, familial atmosphere. They have their own in-house baker so their desserts are a must try! This place has become a home away from home

Quintessential NY diner! The biggest plates of eggs you will ever order! Pancakes for days!! Giant hash plates! I of course had to keep it simple with very tasty and perfectly cooked poached eggs. Just the way I like it! $9 is the average breakfast special. Super convenient expressway exit stop. A great place.

The food here is very, very good. But the prices are outrageous! We used to go here frequently for many years but no longer. Several years ago the prices began really rising until now they've gone through the roof.

It was very close to closing time so there's that. I didn't enjoy the lackluster service here nor the food. My triple decker Caribbean shrimp club with avocado, bacon and fries hold the bread was okay enough. But the avocado though it looked good, was going bad and it tasted yucky. The portion size was good and I was happy for that because I was super hungry. They were the only place still serving food around 2am in this area so I'm grateful. I won't be going out of my way to run back but they're open late so **shrugs**I give them 2.9 stars because overall everyone including me, was tired. I understand. The End.

Phenomenal food and always Fresh. Extremely friendly staff and managers. My favorite is the spinach pie with Greek salad because the spinach pie is made fresh the minute you order it, unlike other places that make it that morning or pre-made and cut a slice and warm it.

This was my 1 st time at this dinner. My food was delicious. As I passed tables to go the restroom I noticed other people's plates. The plates were picture perfect. Every plate had large healthy portions. I will definitely go back.

I had the BEST grilled chicken Salad with Avocado....Yummm! Ill definitely ne back! Oh yeah the staff was great too!!!

I didn't take pictures of the food or the place because I was excited to see old friends. It's a typical diner with TONS of desserts displayed. It was clean and bright. We were welcomed warmly and seated as soon as all of us arrived. Three of us ordered the Reuben's, but it wasn't what I expected, to say the least. It was open-faced on a bread they call rye but it looks like seeded slice from a loaf of bread. It was buttered and grilled. There was an adequate amount of sliced meat, but more cheese than was truly needed. Perfect amount of sauerkraut, though. The waiter brought us all mustard, not Russian dressing. It tasted great which fundamentally is what we wanted, so there's that. I'd go back.

Okay I like the place the vibe is cozy and comfortable. The music is not to loud it's just right to the ears. The setting of the diner makes you feel at home. The food I ordered was the Belgian waffles, egg whites and hash brown fries along side with French toast and four slices of toast. They also hand squeeze the oranges to make orange juice which is good I give that a 7/10. The food that I ordered well I give it a 6/10 due to the fact the taste wasn't all that great and also I spotted the a tiny bug with wings (I'm really good at spotting these things especially when it comes to food which I'm putting into my body) and we were giving a discount but it wasn't a real discount the waiter didn't add the food I found the bug in to the bill that's all. Overall cozy place but the cooks need to be more cleaner and carefull how they handle the foods.

OMG!!! This diner is a MUST! The portions are insane and the food is really, really good! I went for the first time ever and had breakfast. Its was delicious, fresh and just yummy. We saw other peoples plates as the waiters walked by and honestly everything looked delicious. Can't wait to go back for dinner! #yum

This is my favorite place to go!! I go every few months usually but at the very least on my birthday (and so do my family members who adore this place). I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years and I’ve always been satisfied. The layered chocolate mousse cake they have is MY FAVE by far. I love all the types of steaks they have as well, so juicy and tasty. The fries are crispy and yummy as well. The chicken noodle soup tastes like home and heart!! The servers are so personal and kind hearted. They make the best bread (you know... when you’re waiting for your meal) in my opinion. The prices can be intimidating due to it being a diner but it’s worth it because portion sizes are huge and you’ll have some as leftovers therefore it’s worth it. It’s only busy because the food just can’t be beat. Overall, it is my personal favourite restaurant to go to.

Server has tude. Omelette was the worst I have ever had. No offer of french fries vs hash browns. The taste of the food is not appetizing. Even the rye bread was not good, I mean how do you screw up rye bread? Considering there is another diner just down the road on Northern blvd and Francis Lewis Blvd, this diner needs to really step it up... would not recommend it.

Went for breakfast before our movie on Nov 9 2019. The food was very good and the coffee was decent. My wife enjoyed her tea. The reason for the 2 stars is because the tea and coffee are not apart of the breakfast platter. The small tea and coffee cost $2.70 each. In all of diners have patronized never I have I seen were the tea or coffee is apart of the platter. It's sad that this day and age diners like this nickel and dime you for everything. It's definitely greed that motivates this since the area is a rich area. I am surprised they didnt charge us for the utensils. Will not be returning.

The food is always delicious here. Their corn beef hash is real and not from canned. The staff is real polite and food is always delicious.

Service was very polite and professional, and the decor itself was nostalgic, with a classic diner, neon-and-mirrored-chrome interior, but the food unfortunately left very much to be desired in quality, especially for what you're paying. The reuben was a sloppy, soaked through, briny mess. The chocolate chip pancakes were dry, with all the chocolate being scorched onto one side of the pancake. The servers and hostess were very amicable and the cleaning was attentive, but it's hard to want to go back after shelling out for a sub-par meal.

I moved to fresh meadows 2 plus years ago. We have always driven by this diner, and wondered why it was always so packed. It's just a diner we thought. We finally decided to give the place a try on Xmas day. And it is a just a terrific diner. The menu is typical diner fare with lunch, dinner and brunch specials. And the staff albeit busy, still mange to offer to offer too notch service. We've been back since our first visit and were again impressed by the food. So far we've had french toast, waffles, an omelette and a beef burger. I have already decided on what I will have on my next visit. This place is an amazing little diner. And did I mention they bake their pastries in house!

BREAKFAST & BRUNCH IS GOOD. PROMPT & COURTEOUS SERVICE. USUALLY BUSY FOR BRUNCH BUT OUR WAIT WAS ONLY ABOUT 15 MINS, JUST LIKE THE HOSTESS TOLD US IT WOULD BE. STEAK & EGGS WERE COOKED RIGHT. MIMOSA WAS DELICIOUS. I EVEN LIKED THE FRESH FRUIT SALAD.
